Organic Vegetables from the Food Co-op

In this research method, we wanted to understand how people in Tower Hamlets use organic vegetables they obtain from the food co-op. Participants completed a photo diary and took part in a short interview afterwards. The aim was for them to photograph over 5 days how they were cooking with the organic vegetables they bought. We were interested in what they bought and cooked and if they had to change any meals or recipes because of the organic vegetables. They were asked to take photos of which organic vegetables they bought from the co-op and how they used them in their cooking.

These collages are made up of photos from our participants’ diaries.
